Answer on Is Spartacus: Blood & Sand any good?
Spartacus: Blood and Sand is AMAZING... I just got done watching the whole first season a couple of days ago and I loved it!!! Once the storyline picks up after a couple of episodes it just gets so intense and the characters become so complex and anyone viewing is left feeling so invested in what is happening... The entire season is great, but especially by the time I got to about the fourth or fifth episode I was just utterly consumed by the storyline and characters and couldn't stop watching until it was finished... I am obsessed now, lol!!!! This is in my top two of favorite shows of all time... The only other show that is as great and maybe better is Dexter... Dexter is a Showtime series about a serial killer who hunts and kills other serial killers... If you haven't seen Dexter, then you need to see that one, too... In the meantime, You really should watch Spartacus... I can't say enought about how awesome it is... Beyond just the amazingly choreographed fighting scenes, there is so much more to the plot... There is so much scandal and intrigue and betrayal and the twists and turns never stop coming... It was breathtaking and I'm about to rewatch the finale because it was so cool! Anyways, sorry to be rambling, but as you can probably tell I'm in love with this show and really think you (and everybody) should watch it...
Oh yeah, to answer your other question... It is pretty graphic both in sex and violence... Definitely not a show for kids... But I think that the graphic stuff really paints the picture of Rome that the producers were going for and that is one of utter brutality and corrupution...
Anyways, hope you watch it... You won't be disappointed!
