Recently I found out a new friend of mine is a big liar. She lied about things such as death in the family and many other aspects of her life. She also constantly makes up people (family members, friends, and even a boyfriend). She even loads her phone with fake pictures of her "life".
I would think to excuse this as a attention seeker but she's isn't to popular and doesn't really have too many people to fallow her lies. But, here is the main issue: She believes her lies are real. She made up a sister who "died" of cancer and to make it seem real she made up a fake Facebook profile.Even using real people's names to make the more believable. I have even noticed her making up lies about me in her head (that I'm talking badly behind her back, though I'm not) and get mad about me because she is so convinced that I am. She fights with me in her head and gets angry in real life because she thinks it's real.
The only people who she seems to have a problem with are the people who know the truth. She also becomes violently angry at people who call her out or discover her secrets. (Like the fact she really isn't a teen mom of three years). Another reason why I can't really confront her because she might become violent.
I just want to know what kind of (perhaps) mental disorder this is. It's getting pretty out of hand. Also any advice with dealing with her. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your friend sounds like a pathological liar, this is a mental disorder which not only makes your friend tell lies but means she has a personality disorder, which sounds like it describes her well as she makes up people in her life, talk to her and tell her you know about the lies and help her get medical help before she completely ruins her life.
