hey there!
so i'm a long time vegetarian and i've been toying with the idea of taking a like "cleanse" ... i was just reading about oprahs 21 day vegan/gluten free trial (http://www2.oprah.com/foodhome/food/clea… and it sounds like a good idea....

so i'd like some tips from you guys! i've said before i'm going to lay off processed foods but then i just forget i said i'm doing that and eat them... how do you remember?

i don't eat any meat. i don't drink milk. i don't eat eggs. i eat products made with them (cake, bread, etc.) if i must cook with eggs i buy free range.... i eat an obsessive amount of cheese!! i love it!!

so any tips of laying off the animal products, processed foods, glutenous foods....? any good recipes? will i end up eating a ton of beans and tofu?

The best thing is to cut out animal products cold tofurkey. I know that sounds hard but if you gradually cut down you are going to see that small chunk of cheese as a reward and set yourself up for failure.

Fake meats are really overprocessed. You might consider making your own at home, that way you know you're getting a more nutritious meat analogue. There are lots of recipes online.

I don't eat tons of beans and tofu so you probably won't either although tofu is really great when you figure out what to do with it. I prefer lentils over most other beans. They are pretty damn good.

Don't buy processed foods and you won't eat them, it's that simple. I rarely eat processed foods. I make nearly everything from scratch, even popcorn, breadsticks, fake meats, etc. It's very rewarding knowing that those extra preservatives and chemicals aren't going to be hiding in your body somewhere.

Most dry pasta is vegan. Ingredients are usually durum or semolina flour, water, niacin, riboflavin. Egg pastas will be fresh and sold in the refrigerated section or will be dry but say "egg noodles".

Breads are often vegan. Look out for L-cysteine, glycerine, lecithin, whey, and honey. Try an organic whole grain bread. It may have honey, but you may decide to continue to eat honey if you so choose.

Ways to learn italian.. going iin july!,. dont know any!!?

hi i am going to italy this summer with my family in july and im italian. my mom and dads side speak italian so i can pratice with my mom and nonna when i get better. i need a website or any books that can help me learn italian by july. now i mean a good amount of course i cant learnt he language but to get by if u know what i mean. i do not know any.

You're cutting it a bit short and left it a bit late I think... 2 months is very little time to learn such a complex language, even if it's just the few basics needed to get you around!!!

For the short time you have available, firstly, I suggest you get hold of a simple conversational dictionary (the type many turists use for basic easy sentence translations). Then, watch some favoured films, already well known to you, on DVD and use the language and subtitle options in Italian. If your mum and dad know Italian, pester them into teaching you essential words and pronounciations for you to practice. Get hold of some Italian songs and listen to those over and over....also, you could join up and take a short language course if possible....
To be quite honest, in the short time you have at your disposal, I don't think web sites in general will be much use to you since they all require the ability to write in Italian to understand it, let alone speak it, but if that's the way you want to go, then you could also search for help in the Italian section of Yahoo Answers!

Hope it all helps but whatever way you decide, I'm sure you'll have great fun in Italy anyway! ;)))

What kind of liar is my friend?

Recently I found out a new friend of mine is a big liar. She lied about things such as death in the family and many other aspects of her life. She also constantly makes up people (family members, friends, and even a boyfriend). She even loads her phone with fake pictures of her "life".

I would think to excuse this as a attention seeker but she's isn't to popular and doesn't really have too many people to fallow her lies. But, here is the main issue: She believes her lies are real. She made up a sister who "died" of cancer and to make it seem real she made up a fake Facebook profile.Even using real people's names to make the more believable. I have even noticed her making up lies about me in her head (that I'm talking badly behind her back, though I'm not) and get mad about me because she is so convinced that I am. She fights with me in her head and gets angry in real life because she thinks it's real.

The only people who she seems to have a problem with are the people who know the truth. She also becomes violently angry at people who call her out or discover her secrets. (Like the fact she really isn't a teen mom of three years). Another reason why I can't really confront her because she might become violent.

I just want to know what kind of (perhaps) mental disorder this is. It's getting pretty out of hand. Also any advice with dealing with her. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your friend sounds like a pathological liar, this is a mental disorder which not only makes your friend tell lies but means she has a personality disorder, which sounds like it describes her well as she makes up people in her life, talk to her and tell her you know about the lies and help her get medical help before she completely ruins her life.

I attended 8 schools overall in my life. My family moved around a lot. Needless to say, I was never at any one school for a long time. Though I could hardly register as a blip on anyone's "memory radar," I was in (brief) contact with a large number of people.
How is it that they are ALL religious nuts? I noticed on Facebook today that EVERYONE has posted "God is great" "Pray for me" "God loves us all" blah blah blah.
I'm not discounting anyone's religion, but just wondering how it is that 99.99% of the people that I know are "god-fearing."

Are there any weight loss pills that are safe to take?

Now I'm NOT talking about Hydroxy or something like that. I'm looking for one that prevents you from eating so much. Like you would take it about 20 min before you eat so it fills you up a little so you don't eat too much. Believe me I know how to lose weight. I just love to eat food. I eat lots of vegetables and fruits. I eat lean meats and take vitamins everyday. I don't drink soda, coffee, or fatty milk. I DO drink water, skim milk, soy milk, tea, and 100% real juice. But my problem is that I eat too much of it. I know that you lose more weight if you eat more vegetables and fruit, but I sometimes sneak a cookie or 2 or a piece of pie. So I just want to know if there are any that are safe. I take a Thyroid medication that my doctors ordered me to, so i cant stop taking that. Thanks all of you, I can only choose one answer. And I don't want to hear that there is not one that will do that, cuz i know that there is one. Thanks

Is this a feasible muscle gain?

I'm 5'8" (closer to 5'9" when full height), 151lbs (after school when I weigh in).

I did this math thing, because I wanted to gain up to a potent weight (170) to see how many calories of what I should eat a day. I know it's possible to gain 20lbs, and, as I'm young without much muscle as is, I might even make that within a year or two (I recall reading those new to weightlifting make huge gains easier- times my age where I burn a lot anyways [17 yrs old]).

It said to add the hours I plan to exercise each week to 9.5 (notta clue where that second one came from but oh well). I'm willing to put in two hours a day- I have an unbelievable amount of free time. That gives me 12 hours, plus the 9.5, which is 21.5. Then to multiply it against what weight I want to be, which is 170. But that gives me a ~3655 calorie per day goal- way beyond not only a lot of my friends, but most of my family which eats a LOT as is. I eat about 2700 a day, but that's with an unhealthy diet so I don't count that towards what I should eat to gain (for some reason I keep it off).

With 3.5k cals a day, two hours of exercise a day, etc, is it feasible to get up to 170? Or will it just take a long time? Should I adjust the workout or something?

eat 20x your currend body weight
take your current body weight mulitply by 20x

you only need to workout for 40-60 mins a session with weights
thats all you need...

also reduce some of the cardio exercise your doing.. if u want to gain muscle keep cardio down to 2 times a week 20 mins a session....

I have recently stated to diet on a diet plan made by my doctor. it was all going just fine until about a day ago. Spartacus: Blood and Sand is AMAZING... I just got done watching the whole first season a couple of days ago and I loved it!!! Once the storyline picks up after a couple of episodes it just gets so intense and the characters become so complex and anyone viewing is left feeling so invested in what is happening... The entire season is great, but especially by the time I got to about the fourth or fifth episode I was just utterly consumed by the storyline and characters and couldn't stop watching until it was finished... I am obsessed now, lol!!!! This is in my top two of favorite shows of all time... The only other show that is as great and maybe better is Dexter... Dexter is a Showtime series about a serial killer who hunts and kills other serial killers... If you haven't seen Dexter, then you need to see that one, too... In the meantime, You really should watch Spartacus... I can't say enought about how awesome it is... Beyond just the amazingly choreographed fighting scenes, there is so much more to the plot... There is so much scandal and intrigue and betrayal and the twists and turns never stop coming... It was breathtaking and I'm about to rewatch the finale because it was so cool! Anyways, sorry to be rambling, but as you can probably tell I'm in love with this show and really think you (and everybody) should watch it...

Oh yeah, to answer your other question... It is pretty graphic both in sex and violence... Definitely not a show for kids... But I think that the graphic stuff really paints the picture of Rome that the producers were going for and that is one of utter brutality and corrupution...

Anyways, hope you watch it... You won't be disappointed!

Hopeless

He walks by with her,
& I break into pieces deep down inside.
I'm in pain,
but that fake smile
hides all the tears I've cried.

It always covers up the traces of grief
anyone can see in my eyes.
He doesn't love me back,
but I was hoping one day,
it'll be otherwise.

I stay up thinking,
throughout my sleepless night:
"This isn't what it was supposed to be",
"No it's not alright".

Time passes by,
My heart says in grief:
"why can't you love me too?
I need you, please help me.
Put together these pieces I broke into."

so, im a vegetarian.. and i need some advice =]
there is this dish i used to LOVE [tuna, corn, mayo, pickles, and hot cheetos in a sandwich] and i want to know if any fellow vegetarians know of a tuna substitute for this recipe?
also, substitutes for any kind of meat that i can get at walmart or kroger? this way i dont have to cook separate meals for my boyfriend and i.
and one last thing- maybe a nutrition chart? like a food pyramid for vegetarians =D i want to make sure im not missing out on any important part of a healthy diet. THX =]

Have you tried the Morningstar or Bocha chicken strips? They are fantastic and you can use them just like you would a chicken strip, in a sandwich or salad, and I bet if you chopped them up you could use them in the tuna recipe you are talking about. Yum.

Need some easy vegetarian recipes to cook?

I've been vegetarian for about a month now, maybe a month and a half. Anyway so far I haven't really got into proper vegetarian cooking, more just meat alternatives (Quorn etc). What are some good, easy vegetarian recipes that don't require me to buy a lot of odd ingredients that I'll use once and then never again. I'm a student you see so I generally only cook for myself, therefore my shopping list is normally quite small. I'm a great pasta lover so some pasta dishes would be good. Anything really that would be in a balanced diet.

Hi guys, back from the South of Italy!!!!
Sies man it was hot ek se, 45 degrees and humid as hell, with mosquitoes too- felt like being in Durban!!!!
Okay, why is Italian food in Italy so unlike Italian food anywhere else? I mean, the basic recipes are quite simple but the taste is amazing- far better than the kak they serve up in Italian restaurants that I have been to in SA or in the UK? The ice-cream was "divine".
The South of Italy was very similar to the Cape with prickly pears, cedars and aloes as well!!!!!!!!
The only negative.- those dudes have a serious attitude problem, I mean they are seriously rude man!
PS. I have now found out where SA taxi drivers must go when they die, whoever let Italians drive must not have liked them very much or perhaps it is their method of population control seeing as the Pope does not condone contraception!

I just discovered that i am allergic to all these foods because they result in 2x2cm cysts on my face and their as bad as the ones you googlesearch... so im getting rid of the following in my diet perminantly (well on occasion i will eat these foods or my strongly influenced italian family will kill me alive):

Yeast, wheat, dairy, cold meats, chocolate, fried food and all sorts of sugar (fruit is sweet but does not consist of sugar)

so basically ive been eating spelt bread, vegetables,fruit and artificial sweeteners(i shouldnt be but still am caz i chew gum and such) for the past 2 days..but this is no way to live. There must be such a large variety of food i can have, for example i realised i can still have cerial if i find spelt flakes and soy milk. And there is a brand called "organic food" or somehting that actually has cake recipes that are dairy, yeast and wheat free! People live with this every Any vegans or others allergic to this food aswell????

i was always the fat teenager ranging at aroung 170lbs
i lost so much weight when i turned 17 getting down to about 120lbs then up again to about 130lbs when i turned 18 then right down to 112lbs then there was this one day when i saw my mate and she told me she was worried.. i looked anorexic. I was also told my my brothers friends i was looking too skinny so i let myself indulge for about a week.. no its been about 6 weeks and i cant stop. im 145lbs and gaining and im always telling myself, don't worry i will start eating better tomorrow, but im so hungry i cant stop myself from having huge breakfasts, then snacking on chocolate etc.
i rarely ate bread all of this year, but over the past week i i have been eating about average 4000cal a day, some nights are bad where i eat about 6000cals.
im on holiday at my bfs grandparents and they have the nicest fattiest food ever and i cant stop.. im too hungry.
please help me, please just dont tell me to allow myself to have bread during my day, or tell me about portion sizing, i know A LOT about food and nutrition.
this is a phsycological issue obviously

There are so many different products. Usually in the supermarkets you will find Nivea, Dove, Garnier, l'oreal etc for skin care. As for make-up you will find makes such as Rimmel etc There is a couple of italian makes called Deborah and Pupa, which have a range from skin care, lotions and make-up, which are reasonably priced.
Then in the perfumeries you will find the more expensive and exclusive ones.

As for prices, a face wash, cleanser and lotion for say nivea will cost 5 euro's for each product.
I'm not a big make-up wearer and usually buy sets so i'm afraid i can't hep you with prices.

Oh yeah Maybelline and MAC too! i think you will find most of what you use in the states. Especially in the big cities or stores.

Okay i am incredibly unhappy with my weight. I am only 13 and i am 8 stone 12!! im pretty short too so yeah i keep trying to lose weight but always seem to fail. I can't go to the gym and i can only have basic food. I am aiming to lose 18 pounds by july so can somebody please help, i would appreciate it???

It's all in your head hun, the only way you'll lose weight is by sticking to something and not swaying, and it should drop off you at the age your at.
Some things i use when i diet for a particular reason are:
-Don't snack: It will be hard for the first day or so, but you actually get used to it and don't crave after a while. That bag of crisps or chocolate bar that you'll sometimes grab from the cupboard won't help you in any way, and no matter how small a thing you think it is, just don't do it. Stick to your three meals a day, nothing in between.
- Cut down your meal size: Do this by say up to 25%, and you'll definetely see a difference.
- Try and be more active, even if it means walking somewhere that you'd usually get dropped off in the car at (providing its not a ridiculously long way), maybe go for a 20 minute jog every day. if you cant go for a jog, take a look online at some simple exercise routines you can do in your room or whatever, but a jog would be more effective
- Simple carbs like sugar should also be kept away from, have a look online also if your unsure about a certain type of food.
But most importantly realize that your not going to see results in the first couple of days, so even if you think somethings not working don't sway. Stay strong, stick to it and think of what you'll achieve, what it will mean and what will come your way by doing it.
I really do wish you the best of luck, its not an easy thing to do, especially if your stuck in a certain routine.

I think that he will. At the moment, he is going through a swing change and is struggling. He did this in 1998 and again in 2004 and was able to return to the top. Even if he only has his B-game, he can still contend for majors. Despite having a terrible year on tour last year, he still had the best aggregate score across the four majors. He contended at the Masters and the US Open with a makeshift swing. Once he gets his swing in shape, he will start playing more consistent golf and should return to the top.

Ok, so I really wanna lose 10 lbs. for and get in shape for the summer. I just don't know how many calories I should eat. I am really confused because some people say to eat a low calorie diet to lose weight and that 'starvation mode' is a myth. Then other people say you should eat more calories to lose weight because otherwise you will store fat. I don't know what to believe and I really wanna lose weight!! I eat healthy in general and workout 3-4 days per week, take a vitamin, ect. I am just confused as far as the calorie thing goes. I am 5'6, female, and 138 lbs. Thanks!!

At 138 lbs to lose weight you need to be consuming 1,568 calories per day in order to lose weight.

Starvation mode is not a myth. Your body will eventually loose weight (along with muscle mass as you wouldn't be able to maintain a regular work out pattern without any energy through food) but it will take a looong time. It's the most difficult way to try and lose weight because unless you plan on spending the rest of your life in starvation mode, as long as you start eating properly again the weight will come back, and more! The body will store more fat as it will be preserving it for energy.

The thing to think about is try to eat and drink 'good' calories. Bananas, cereals, whole grain pastas, etc will contain a lot of calories but your body uses more to digest them than it would a chocolate bar, potato chips or pizza. Also think about salt and sugar content. Just follow the simple rule that it's always better to cook from scratch (seriously, check out nutritional value on a lot of ready meals - it's shocking), use fresh food and drink LOTS of water.

I have been on a healthy eating plan for the past few months and I lose an average of one pound a day -

Breakfast: corn flakes with a cut up banana, semi skimmed milk and a spoonful of sugar; coffee with semi skimmed milk; vitamins B, C, D, Zinc and Omega 3

Work out: 25 mins on the treadmill, thigh machine, dumbbell lifts, 20 more minutes on the treadmill, 500 crunches

Lunch: tuna and egg white salad with lighter than light mayo, tomatoes, cucumber and spinach; a weightwatchers yogurt and an apple

Dinner: any recipe I can find online that is less than 400 calories but still tastes good!

Dessert: any dessert I can find online that is less than 200 calories

I try to snack on fruit (berries and pineapple - a negative calorie!), sugarsnap peas, sugar free popsicles and sultanas but if I want a donut, I'll have a donut. Never deprive yourself, just eat unhealthy food in moderation.

I also walk my dog twice a day and drink at least 2 litres of water.

Once you hit your goal weight of 128 lbs you need to consume 1,745 calories per day in order to maintain it.

If you want a great body shape you should aim to go to the gym 3 alternate days a week, and remember the key to building muscle is doing a few sets of a low number of reps at the highest weight you can manage. Toning is just reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass. Anything that suggests you can “tone” by doing some light weight exercise lots of time is really taking a very inefficient route to improving the shape of your body.

Im 20 and weigh about 68 kgs and am 162 tall..ive been doing "boot camp" three times a week for three months and am now able to run with my dog non stop(i do this at least 4 times a week)

One more time DO NOT WORRY ABOUT WEIGHT. Muscle weighs more than fat, so as you tone up, it's possible you could increase in weight while dropping several clothing sizes. Your measurements are a better indication of body fat percentage than your weight is, and body fat percentage is the thing you want to reduce.

As for carbs: no sugars, no starches. Complex carbs only, so Quinoa, brown rice, brown rice pasta/whole wheat pasta, cornmeal. Protein will also provide energy, and is better for you if you work out. Eat after exercising. Have a protein shake after exercising (get the whey isolates) so your muscles can absorb quicker to repair themselves.

Okay I think you asked a similar question before...if you want, you can look up the amount of RECORDED coasters that are in these countries at rcdb.com - do an "advanced search".
Anyway, I know there are more coasters in those counties then are listed on the website, but according to the website:
Poland - 8
India - 41
Russia - 29
Italy - 38
Those are the numbers of currently operating coasters in those countries, not to include coasters that are standing but not operating/closed, or currently in construction. I was in Verona Italy last summer and at a restaurant I ordered a dessert wine, ended up forgetting what it was called and I'm trying to figure out what the heck it was!

It went excellent with the cheesecake I had. The wine was dark in color and had a berry flavor. I also believe it began with an "M" but I'm not 100 percent sure on that one.

I like to plan as much as I can, so I don't get faced with issues like this. If I don't know where I'm going to go next in terms of plot advancement, I freak out. Planning is always useful ^-^
I also like to write scene-by-scene, rather than writing random scenes and then piecing them together when I'm done. I feel like that way, the plot can take a more natural course, rather than adhering strictly to the course I loosely intended for it. I love it when the plot takes on a direction of its own.

You can ask your instructors/or who ever shows you this list, but you should be able to apply for a 3 or 5 level opening (I believe it is one up or below at your rank). This is nice because you just opened yourself up to a lot more bases to choose from.

So, on the EQUAL list they have Overseas and Stateside bases listed. Those are the ONLY places you can be sent. There are no other bases with slots that you can go to. So, if the EQUAL list says Germany 3 slots, Alaska 4, Korea 8, Iceland 1, Japan 2, then that is it. That is all of your choices from for the overseas section. If Italy is not listed, you will not get that base.

Same for stateside. If you want to go California, but only Texas, Mississippi, North Dakota are listed, Do not wast one of your slots on CA. It is like leaving that slot blank.

Now I will say this to make my statement 100% accurate. There is a secondary list called the Equal Plus list. This is for bases that were accidentally left off of the normal Equal list (it might come out a 4-6 weeks later). Don't depend on it for getting orders when you are coming out of Tech school. This will help you get orders maybe from your second or third base, but not Tech school. At this point in your career they just need to put you in a slot and get you moving so they can worry about the next group of guys.

The people who say Synchro's are no good obviously have no idea what they are talking about and probably have no knowledge of the game whatsoever. Synchro's are great and make the game more interesting. You can make all types of Synchro decks, but as it stands GB is still ruling the meta, even with Tele-DAD out there. Depending on how your GB deck is made, I'd keep it.
Plus the cards you named for the Synchro deck are fairly easy to obtain by yourself.
P.S. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm only being honest. =]
